5 profiles

Corner section of Gealan S 9000 Base: a corner cut from the frame so you can see how the profile is built up
Gealan S 9000 BaseGEALAN · Uf 1.10 · 120 mm
120 mm119 mm

The simplest of the four S 9000 versions, with a sash that slopes away to the outside. For a square-edged look, choose the Haax; if the profile must project less into the room, choose the Slim; if you want both bevels in one profile, choose the Styl.

Corner section of Gealan S 9000 HST: a corner cut from the frame so you can see how the profile is built up
Gealan S 9000 HSTGEALAN · Uf 1.10 · 194 mm
194 mm150 mm

The Gealan S 9000 HST is one of our three uPVC lift-and-slide doors, alongside the Rehau Synego lift-and-slide and the Schüco LivIng Slide, and insulates better than both (Uf 1.1 against 1.3). At 194 mm it projects a long way into the room — the aluminium MB-59HS and MB-77HS are much shallower. If your elevation is already S 9000 throughout, this door matches it with no difference in profile look.

Corner section of Gealan S 9000 Haax: a corner cut from the frame so you can see how the profile is built up
Gealan S 9000 HaaxGEALAN · Uf 1.10 · 120 mm
120 mm119 mm

The same profile as the Base, but with square edges instead of a sloping sash. This is purely a choice of profile look — technically the two do not differ.

Corner section of Gealan S 9000 Slim: a corner cut from the frame so you can see how the profile is built up
Gealan S 9000 SlimGEALAN · Uf 1.10 · 82.5 mm
82 mm119 mm

The S 9000 for a renovation where the interior finish is already fixed: 37.5 mm shallower than the Base and the Haax, with exactly the same performance and the same sightline.

Corner section of Gealan S 9000 Styl: a corner cut from the frame so you can see how the profile is built up
Gealan S 9000 StylGEALAN · Uf 1.20 · 120 mm
120 mm119 mm

The fourth S 9000 version: combines the 15° bevel of the Base with an extra small 4° angle in the same profile. If you want one clear sloping line, choose the Base; if you want a square-edged look with no bevel at all, choose the Haax.

What is Gealan S 9000?

The S 9000 system seals in three places at once: at the outer frame, in the middle of the chamber and at the sash. Gealan itself calls this a triple-seal system with a flexible centre seal. For you as a buyer, the practical result is that the profile seals the same way in every version — bevelled, square or shallow; the difference between the versions lies in their appearance and frame depth, not in the sealing.

Base, Haax, Slim and the lift-and-slide door

Five versions share the same core. The Base slopes outwards at 15°, the Haax is square and block-shaped, the Styl combines a small 4° angle with the 15° bevel of the Base in one profile, and the Slim, at 82.5 mm, is the shallowest of the four — the other three are 120 mm deep, all with the same sightline. If you are choosing on looks rather than on technology, you are choosing between these four. Gealan also makes a lift-and-slide door in the same system, so a patio door next to a window in the same elevation keeps the same profile look.

Colour: acrylcolor instead of foil

At Gealan the colour is not in a foil that can peel away, but in an acrylic layer applied to the profile in the same production process — Gealan calls it acrylcolor and has been making it for more than forty years. The surface is smooth and non-porous, so dust and dirt stick to it less than to a standard foil. We are passing that claim on from the manufacturer and have not measured it ourselves over the years.

Gealan only releases detailed DWG drawings to fabricators, through the myGEALAN portal — they are not public. What we show on the profile pages comes from our own archive and from the manufacturer brochures that are public; where that is a junction detail rather than a stand-alone profile sketch, we say so.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about Gealan

Which Gealan profiles does Rovenzia carry?

Five: the S 9000 Base, Haax, Styl and Slim (all for windows and doors) and the S 9000 lift-and-slide door. Each has its own profile page with a cross-section, specifications and a guide price.

What is the difference between Base, Haax, Styl and Slim?

The sightline is the same on all four. The difference is in shape and frame depth: the Base slopes away at 15°, the Haax is square and block-shaped, the Styl combines a small 4° angle with the 15° bevel of the Base, and the Slim is the shallowest at 82.5 mm — the other three are 120 mm deep.

Does a Gealan window discolour?

White uPVC has no foil or paint layer that can discolour or peel: the white is the colour of the material itself. On a coloured profile the colour is in the acrylcolor layer; how that holds up over the years we have not measured ourselves — it is a claim from the manufacturer.

Can I get a Gealan detail drawing?

Not from us: Gealan only releases DWG detail drawings to fabricators, through the myGEALAN portal. What you see on our profile pages is what we have checked ourselves and are allowed to show.

Is Gealan uPVC or aluminium?

uPVC. If you would rather have aluminium, look at Aluprof or Reynaers in our range.

Which Gealan uPVC windows do you supply?

The S 9000 NL in Base, Haax, Slim and Styl, and the S 9000 lift and slide door. Each profile has its own page.

Do you have a Gealan sliding patio door?

Yes, the Gealan S 9000 lift and slide door: up to 6,500 mm wide.

What do Gealan windows cost?

The price for your sizes is in the quote within three working days, in GBP excl. VAT and import duties. We supply Gealan windows made to measure, without fitting.
