Damage on delivery: check before you sign
Until the window or door is in your hands, damage in transit is our risk, not yours. Section 29 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 says so: the goods remain at the trader's risk until they come into the physical possession of you, or of someone you have named to take them for you who is not the carrier. You don't have to prove anything about what happened on the way. Delivery to the UK is quoted with your offer.
So we ask one thing: check the goods with the driver at delivery, before you sign. If you see damage, have it written on the consignment note and take photos. That is the moment when it is simplest, and when nobody has to argue about it.
If you find something visible when unpacking that you missed at the door, report it within two working days of delivery, with photos. The window exists because we supply and don't install: the longer it stays open, the harder it is to tell whether damage came from our transport or from storage, moving or fitting afterwards. If it passes without a report, the delivery counts as in order as far as visible damage is concerned.
Now the part that belongs here just as much. What you cannot see at delivery is not covered by this. A seal that leaks, a piece of hardware that starts to stick after a month, a manufacturing fault that only shows in use: for those the ordinary statutory rules apply. Under sections 9 to 11 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 what we supply must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described, and the Act does not require you to report such a fault within a set number of days.
So read the two side by side. Two working days is about the moment of delivery and what you can see at that moment. Your statutory rights cover everything that comes to light later. The two working days do not shorten those rights, and they could not: statutory rights are not something we can get round with a delivery condition.
In practice: report damage by email to schade@rovenzia.com, with photos of the damage, the packaging and the label on the unit. We will let you know within two working days what happens next.
Legal basis: section 29 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 for the passing of risk, and sections 9 to 11 of the same Act for conformity — legal text.
