Can I order from you without seeing anything first?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and that is exactly what the site is built for. Three things take the place of a showroom: every profile page shows the technical cross-section of that profile, you can ask for a sample pack to see the colour in your own light, and where we have a guide price it is on the profile page before you enter your email address — the amount for your sizes is in the quote.

Do you supply businesses too?

Yes. In the configurator you say whether you are requesting as a private customer or as a business. An order to the UK is an export outside the EU, so it carries 0% Dutch VAT; UK VAT and any import duties are paid by the buyer on delivery. We are setting out what else differs for trade customers.

Can I add anything, or does the window come as it is?

Accepted Answer

There is a new step for accessories, and it asks about nine things: the window handle (standard or lockable with a key), the cylinder and the heavier class C security cylinder, a door handle, the threshold under a door, glazing bars in the glass, an insect screen and a trickle vent. Step 6 of the configurator lists all nine with the amount next to each, including the choices that don't suit your section: an insect screen belongs with a window that opens and a threshold under a door, and the configurator doesn't stop you. So check for yourself what belongs with your section. Whatever you don't choose isn't included; we send nothing you didn't ask for.

How quickly do I get a quote?

Accepted Answer

Within three working days. Once you send your configuration it goes straight to the manufacturer, who prices it as a made-to-measure quote — with your sizes, your glass and your colour, not a standard package. If it does take longer, you hear that from us within the same three working days, with a new date; you are never left waiting without word. What you have beforehand is the guide price on the profile page: it comes from our own quote history and tells you what order of magnitude you are in, so you don't find out only after a request whether it fits your budget. The quote is the amount you decide on; the guide price is the amount you compare with.

How much will my windows cost, and where does the price come from?

Accepted Answer

The guide price comes from our server, not from your browser: it comes from our own quote history by profile and size, and it is on the profile page before you enter your email address — the configurator itself shows no amount. The amount for your sizes, glass and colour is worked out by the manufacturer and is in the quote. If there is no guide price for a combination, we say so: there is then no amount rather than an estimate. We would rather show no amount than one we have to take back.
