Cost of bifold doors: what sets the price
The number of leaves first, then the overall size, the glass and the colour. Two doors with the same opening don't cost the same if one has four leaves and the other six: for the same width, the six-leaf door is dearer. Wide leaves cost less per running metre than narrow ones, up to the limit of 1,200 mm per leaf.
Bifold doors aluminium price
All our bifold doors are aluminium, on the Aluprof MB-86 Fold Line HD or the Reynaers ConceptFolding 77. We don't make uPVC bifold doors, so there is no cheaper uPVC version to compare with.
Average cost of bifold doors
An average only means something with a size next to it. As long as our quote archive has too few bifold doors, we don't give one; you get the price for your own size in the quote, within three working days.
4m bifold doors price
Four metres is the 4-panel bifold door: two traffic doors as a pair plus two folding leaves, up to 4.00 m wide. A 3-panel door is up to 3.00 m, a 5-panel up to 5.00 m. Put your width in the configurator and request the quote for that layout.
Cheap bifold doors
You save with fewer, wider leaves and with double glazing instead of triple. The 2-panel bifold door has no traffic door and the least hardware. If you mainly want light and a view with an occasional way through, a sliding patio door does that for less money.
Bifold doors installation cost
We don't give that price, because we don't install. You pay for the door, with delivery included in the total price per unit in your offer, and arrange fitting yourself or with a local installer.
Why there is no bifold guide price yet
Every guide price on this site is measured on quotes we have actually sent. For bifold doors that history is still empty, and a figure built from window prices or from someone else's list would not be a measurement. So until there are enough bifold quotes to measure, the price on this page stays blank and the calculator tells you it has no figure for your size.
What the quote itemises
The door itself at your size and layout, with the glass, colour and fold direction you chose. Hardware is listed on its own line, and so is any discount if you put several items in one request. Delivery to the UK is quoted with your offer, based on the postcode you enter.
What you pay on top
The door leaves the EU as an export, so it carries 0% Dutch VAT. UK VAT and any import duties are not in our figures; you pay them when the door is delivered. Fitting, making good the opening and any Building Regulations notification are between you and your installer.

Within three working days we come back to you, with the quote or with the date it will be ready. Production starts only when you accept the offer and takes 6 to 8 weeks.

Every leaf has its own hinges and locking points, and the price goes per leaf. A sliding patio door has fewer moving parts for the same width.
Do I pay VAT twice?
No. There is no Dutch VAT on an export to the UK. You pay UK VAT, plus any import duties, once, when the door is delivered.
Can I change my bifold door after I've asked for a quote?
Yes. Your change comes in as a new version of the same request, we ask for the prices again, and you hear from us within three working days.
Does the fold direction change the price?
It is one of the things the manufacturer prices, together with the size, the number of leaves, the glass and the colour. By how much, only your quote can say.
