Aluminium sliding patio doors prices
Aluminium sliding patio doors prices below are what a lift and slide door typically cost with us, measured on our own quotes, not a price list. Prices in GBP, excl. UK VAT and import duties. The calculator estimates your size; the real price is in your quote.
What an aluminium sliding patio door cost with us
Measured on our own quotes from February 2023 to July 2026 inclusive, per unit at the size in the table. The amount is the median; the range runs from the lower to the upper quarter of the observations. Prices in GBP, excl. UK VAT and import duties, which are payable on delivery; excluding delivery and installation. This is a guide price, not a quote.
| Unit | Measured size | Typically | Range | Per m² | Quotes |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sliding panel | 3,000 × 2,300 mm | £3,188 | £3,022 – £3,471 | £462 | 38 |
Price per m² = the measured amount divided by the area of the size in the table. Where there is a dash, the spread is too wide for a single amount and the range is what counts.
Work out your sliding patio door price
Choose the material and enter the overall size of the door. You'll see what a door of that size typically cost in our quotes. It's a guide price, not a quote: the real price for your door comes within three working days in the made-to-measure quote.
Excluding VAT and import duties, which are payable on delivery; excluding delivery and fitting. Worked out with the price per m² of comparable doors in our quote archive; glass, colour and layout can still move the amount.
Sliding patio doors cost: what sets the price
Four things: the width, the number of panes, the glass and the colour. A three-metre door with two panes is a different product from a five-metre one with four, and triple glazing weighs and costs more than double. The amount in the table applies to the size shown beside it.
uPVC sliding patio doors prices
We price uPVC patio doors the same way, on your size. If the table shows no amount for uPVC, we don't yet have enough quotes to give an honest figure; the price for your door is then in your quote, within three working days.
3 m and 4 m sliding patio doors: cost
The size in the table is 3,000 × 2,300 mm. A four-metre door has more glass, more frame and often an extra pane, so it costs more; how much exactly depends on the layout. Enter your own width in the calculator or the configurator.
Sliding patio doors supplied and fitted?
We don't give that price, because we don't install. You pay the factory price plus delivery and arrange fitting yourself or with a local installer.
Sliding patio doors quote
You put the door together in the configurator, with no form first, and request a quote. It comes within three working days, with the price for your sizes, glass and colour. The door only goes into production once you agree.
What the calculator does and doesn't tell you
Enter the overall size of the door and the calculator works with what a square metre of sliding patio door cost in our earlier quotes, in the material you choose. The result is a range, with the number of quotes behind it. That range is a guide price, not a quote: useful to see whether a door fits your budget, but not an amount you can order at.
The number of panes, the glass and a fixed pane beside the sliding one can still move the amount a good deal. Delivery isn't included: delivery to the UK is quoted with your offer.
Two, three or four panes
You build a lift-and-slide door from two, three or four panes. With two, one is fixed and the other slides across in front of it. With three, the outer two are fixed and the middle one slides. With four, the outer two are fixed and the middle two slide from the centre out to the sides, which gives you a wide opening in the middle. More sliding panes means more hardware and more work in the factory, and you'll see that in the quote.
Which layout suits depends on your opening and on where you want to walk out. In the configurator you see the layout drawn and choose which way each sliding pane opens.
Lift-and-slide or sliding without lifting
With a lift-and-slide door you raise the sash slightly with the handle, slide it open and then let it down again. A system like this carries large, heavy sashes. Alongside the lift-and-slide doors we offer the Aluplast Multi Slide, a uPVC sliding patio door that rolls aside without being lifted. It's meant for openings that don't need a lift-and-slide door; which of the two suits yours depends on the size.
Triple glazing in a sliding patio door
Triple glazing has three panes of glass instead of two, which makes it heavier. In a door with large sashes that counts: the glass itself costs more, and the hardware has to carry the extra weight. It does insulate noticeably better, and across a glass wall several metres wide that makes a real difference to heat loss.
Colour inside and outside
A sliding patio door also has one colour for the outside and one for the inside. A dark outside with a white inside is a popular combination. Which colours each material comes in is on our page about black sliding patio doors and other colours.
