Kömmerling uPVC windows, supply only

The Kömmerling 76 MD

The Kömmerling 76 MD is 76 mm deep and has 6 chambers. It closes with a centre seal: three sealing levels between outer frame and sash. The profile reaches Uf 1.0 W/m²K and takes glass up to 50 mm; that Uf is the profile alone, while the U-value limit in Approved Document L applies to the whole window (Uw). At 76 mm it is one of the shallower uPVC profiles we offer, with about 116 mm of frame and sash in view (a guide dimension). Where there is little depth in the wall, as is often the case in renovation work, the frame therefore sits less far into the opening.

Windows that open inwards

All windows in this profile open inwards: tilt and turn, side-hung or tilt-only, and a door on the same profile. A window that opens outwards, top-hung or bottom-hung, isn't possible in the 76 MD. If that is what you want, look at a Dutch version such as the Gealan S 9000.

Kömmerling and K-vision

K-vision is a brand of its own in our range, with its own page and its own profiles: the Trend, the Cube, the Classic and the PremiDoor. That profile system comes from the range of profine, the group behind Kömmerling. The 76 MD on this page is a different profile. If you are looking for K-vision, see the K-vision page.

Comparable profiles in our range

Because we offer only one profile under the Kömmerling name, we set out here what sits alongside it. The VEKA Softline 76 MD is just as deep, 76 mm, and also has a centre seal, but 5 chambers, Uf 1.1 and glass up to 48 mm. The Rehau Synego is 80 mm deep, also with a centre seal, and has a lower Uf, 0.94, with glass up to 51 mm. The Gealan S 9000 MD is 82.5 mm deep, with Uf 0.89 and glass up to 52 mm.
