Why a 2-pane sliding patio door in Aluplast HST 85?
A lift-and-slide door works differently from an ordinary sliding door: with the handle you lift the leaf off its seal, slide it aside and lower it again. That is why it can be heavy and large and still seal well. The Aluplast HST 85 carries leaves of up to 400 kg. With two opening leaves and a centre mullion that slides with them, a wide opening can be opened fully in the middle. The frame is 197 mm deep, and the profile reaches Uf 1.10 W/m²K.
uPVC lift-and-slide door, 197 mm deep, for large areas of glass: leaves up to 400 kg, two opening leaves and a centre mullion that slides with them.
One fixed pane, one sliding pane: this is the smallest and simplest of the three sliding patio doors you can put together.
A lift-and-slide door lifts the sliding pane slightly off the track before it moves aside, and lowers it again when it closes, for a tight seal. In this 2-pane version one pane stays put and the other slides across in front of it: the opening you get is never wider than the fixed pane, because the sliding pane ends up in front of it.
The standard size is 3,000 × 2,300 mm. If you need a wider opening, the 3-pane and 4-pane sliding patio doors — with more fixed and sliding panes — are the wider options in the same form.
