Why a tilt and turn window with top light in Aluplast Ideal 7000 NL?

The Ideal 7000 NL is Aluplast's block profile: a recessed, block-shaped look in which the sash sits back in the outer frame, designed for the Dutch style of building. The frame is 120 mm deep, the sash 85 mm, and inside there are six chambers with a double seal and a closed steel reinforcement as standard. The profile reaches Uf 1.00 W/m²K; for a complete window with glass of Ug 1.0, the system data give Uw 1.3 W/m²K. Frame and sash together have a 133 mm sightline.

Recessed block profile, 120 mm deep with six chambers, designed for Dutch elevations: windows, doors and every front door in our range.

A standard tilt and turn window below, at a height you can operate, and a fixed pane above that fills the rest of a tall opening.

Some openings are taller than is comfortable for a tilt and turn window on its own — under a sloping roof, or in an elevation where the head of the window sits higher than you can still reach the handle comfortably. This window puts the tilt and turn sash at reachable height at the bottom and fills the rest of the height with a fixed pane above, so you get glass over the full height without a sash you can't operate.

The standard size is 1,200 × 1,800 mm, with the fixed top light taking a quarter of the height and the tilt and turn window the rest. If you do need ventilation at that height, the tilt and turn window with tilt-in top light — with a bottom-hung sash instead of the fixed top light — is the form that provides for it.
